An opportunity at KCRG-TV9 was an opportunity for Nicole Agee to move close to home. An Iowa native, Nicole is happy to be back and serve the viewers of eastern Iowa.

Nicole comes to KCRG-TV9 from KAAL-TV in Austin, Minnesota where she anchored the evening news. Prior to that, she was an anchor and reporter at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri.

During her career, Nicole has covered major news events including the 35W bridge collapse, the 2008 Iowa Caucuses and the Republican National Convention in St. Paul. She also traveled to the Gulf Coast in the weeks following Hurricane Katrina to cover the Missouri Highway Patrol’s relief efforts in Biloxi.

Nicole is proud to be a Panther! She graduated with a B.A. in 2004 from the University of Northern Iowa. In 2006, she received her M.A. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She utilized her interest in education reporting for her Master’s project, which focused on the privatization of public education.

The Minnesota Associated Press honored Nicole for her 2006 education series, “Learning with Less”.  She has also received honors for her writing.

An active volunteer, Nicole supports several organizations including the Humane Society and the YMCA. The YMCA awarded Nicole with Volunteer of the Year in 2007.

When she’s not engrossed in the day’s news, Nicole can be found in the kitchen, the shoe department, at the gym or in the backyard with her fiancé, Adam and their dog, Lola.
